The Graduate Admissions Committee of the Division of Computer Science and Engineering has reconsidered your application and is pleased to recommend your admission to the CSE graduate program starting in September, 2002.

Your application has been forwarded with our recommendation to the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies, they will advise you officially regarding your admission status (in a few weeks when processing is complete).

Financial Aid decisions are made separately. You will be notified if a
departmental financial aid award is going to be offered to you. You will be notified only if you are going to be offered aid. Most decisions are made by April 15.

To assist you in your planning for the Fall, you should know that counseling and course registration will take place August 30, 2002. Classes begin September 3, 2002.

Your application for admission to our graduate program in September, 2002 has been considered by our Departmental Committee on Graduate Admissions and I now regret to inform you that your application was not accepted.

Our Department received many more applications than it has openings. We can, therefore, accept only a few of those best qualified. This refusal of your application does not necessarily mean that your academic preparation is unsatisfactory, but that others are thought to have even stronger records.

I trust you will find it possible to make other satisfactory arrangements for continuing your education.
